7 Natural Home Remedies To Remove Scars Effectively By Zanne Xanne

Dear readers, finally I’m back from my hectic lifestyle and I’m slowly changing my lifestyle to Green now! Going through up and down in the life that I never exposed via words or conversation, changing my mindset from each lesson that my life has taught, off course lesson to learn which I wrongly used chemical products for my face and having a serious breakout and scars.

Hence, here are a list of natural remedies that I tried and probably you have in your kitchen right now that can help to eliminate the irritating acne scar on your face:

1. ALOE VERA

Aloe Vera is known as the best soothing and moisturizing agent in most of the skincare brands. It consists of antioxidant function in order to reduce redness and swelling in our skin and the natural astringent helps to remove excess oil and dead cells. It will be better if you able to find an aloe vera plant as I know Singapore is a little bit hard to get the plant compare to Malaysia. This is one of the best natural remedy that I have tried especially for my sensitive skin.

2. TURMERIC

Turmeric contains curcumin, which is a compound with antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties that helps to reduce the scars and excessive of melanin production that add pigmentation and darker the scar. Turmeric also helps to treat the discoloration of the skin and making your skin to glow. In addition, it also functions as an antiseptic to smooth your skin without irritate them. It was recommended by one of my Indian friends and it works effectively on her scars and skin! You may like to mix it with honey or lemon.

3. LEMON

Lemon which contains of hydroxy acids (AHA) is also known as a natural bleach and healing agent that helps to lighten the scar and brings the elasticity back. However, if you are having a sensitive skin like me, apply a small amount of lemon juice over the affected area and avoid direct sunlight or wash off with cool water before heading out during the day.

4. RAW HONEY

Raw honey is a natural moisturizing agent that stimulates the regenerative tissue. You may find it commonly that it has been used as a medical remedy for centuries. However, make sure that you choose the raw honey as the commercial honey has been processed and consists of little therapeutic value only. Raw honey is more concentrated and directly from the nectar flowers which is good for fading and healing the scars and wound. 

5. COCONUT OIL

Coconut oil is rich in omega fatty acids that helps to penetrate and moisturize the skin in order to keep the skin glowing. It can act as a thick and moisturizing barrier as the skin heals. However, only apply the small amount on the area where you wish to treat as excessive of coconut oil may cause breakouts.

6. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Apple cider vinegar is made from fermented apple juice, which consist high level of acidic content. The acid helps to reduce the appearance of scars by removing the damage and outer layer of the skin and promoting regeneration. Avoid from applying apple cider vinegar directly to the skin for the longer periods and remember to dilute the vinegar with water and apply over the affected area. Avoid applying it to the open wound and sensitive skin.

7. BAKING SODA

Baking soda is a natural exfoliator that balance our skin pH. It  helps to remove the dead skin cells and leave the skin refreshed without damaging the skin around the scar.Remember to dilute the baking soda with water and scrub it over the affected area, rinsing through gently after a minute.
